Little Singer school

Supporting Diné Youth in the Navajo Reservation

The Little Singer School was created as an alternative to infamous boarding schools, to provide Diné youth in the Navajo Reservation with vital cultural teachings from community elders through language, music, dance, art, and storytelling.

This valuable program now faces significant risk due to current education budget cuts.
By protecting The Little Singer School, we safeguard a crucial space where Diné children can maintain their connection to ancestral knowledge while receiving education rooted in their cultural values. Our goal is to ensure this school continues as a beacon of traditional learning for future generations of Navajo youth.
We will use proceeds from our films to:

  • Support The Little Singer School during this critical time
  • Ensure Diné youth continue to have access to elder-led cultural education within their own community
  • Protect the school’s crucial role in teaching and preserving the Diné language for future generations
